Montreal and Toronto Armenian Communities set to celebrate 20th Anniversary of Liberation

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Liberation of Shushi, musical events will take place in Montreal on April 28 and 29, 2012 at Salle Claude Champagne and in Toronto on May 4, 2012 at Global Kingdom under the auspices of His Excellency Mr. Armen Yeganyan, Ambassador of Armenia to Canada.

The world renowned singers, sisters, Inga and Anush Arshakyan will perform under the musical director, Mr. Armen Martirosyan. The Komitas Choir of the Montreal Cathedral as well as the Garni Dance Ensemble will participate in the Montreal events. In Toronto, Sassoun Dance Ensemble of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church will participate in the program.

We urge our community members to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Liberation of Shushi, which also celebrates the 20th anniversary for freedom of speech, fundamental human rights and liberties.
