June 17, 2018, was a historic day for the Montreal Armenian community. Holy relics of Sourb Hagop of Mtsbin (St. Jacob of Nisibis) have been brought to Canada from Plovdiv, Bulgaria, by Rev. Fr. Hrach Muradyan, Parish Priest of St. Gevorg Armenian Church of Plovdiv, who celebrated Divine Liturgy on this occasion, at St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Cathedral of Montreal.

His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimyan, Primate, presided over the Liturgy.

Armenian priests of Quebec region brought their prayerful participation to the Liturgy.

On June the 24th, Holy Relics of St. Jacob will be taken to Ontario where Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Armenian Church of Toronto.
