Primate attended meetings of the Governing Board of the Canadian Council of Churches

On May 14, 2015, His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church Canadian Diocese, attended meetings of the Governing Board of the Canadian Council of Churches (CCC) in Ottawa.

Within the framework of the meetings, a special session was arranged with Members of Parliament Charlie Angus, Paul Dewar, Andrew Cash, and Pierre Nantel of the New Democratic Party of Canada to discuss the recent CCC Justice Tour, physician assisted death, and Canada at 150 celebrations in 2017.

Mr. Levon Isakhanyan, Chancellor, accompanied the Primate during the meetings.
