As part of the Diocesan continuing efforts for the reorganization and improvement of a number of aspects of the operation of the Diocese, His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimian considered the review of the Diocesan Bylaws.
In order to undertake this tedious work, and to come up with recommendations for changes or adjustments that have to be submitted to the Diocesan Council and the Diocesan Annual General Assembly of Delegates for approval, the Special Committee has been appointed in the following composition:
– Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Pastor of Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church of Toronto;
– Mrs. Apet Alpay, Acting Chairperson of the Diocesan Council;
– Dr. Arshavir Gundjian first Chairman of the Diocesan Council, who also chaired the committee who drafted our original Bylaws;
– Dr. Haroutyoun Arzoumanian, a senior previous member of the Diocesan Council who would be charged in particular with the review of the Armenian version;
– Mr. Jack Stepanian a previous chairman of the Diocesan Council;
– Mr. Levon Isakhanyan, Diocesan Chancellor, to assist this group.
The Committee will undertake its task immediately after the end of the Holy Easter period.
