Filled with joy and the true sense of Armenian traditions, the Children’s New Year festival was held at the St. Gregory Armenian Cathedral of Montreal, on December 18, 2011. This special occasion will be remembered for a long time.
On that date, the Holy Divine Liturgy was sung by the Montreal Armenian Children’s Choir. Following the Holy Badarak, the Sunday school students together with the choir members, presented songs of Holy Nativity as well as a short theatrical piece on the birth of Jesus Christ. This presentation was prepared by the director of the Sunday School Mrs. Houri Hakimian.
The festive mood continued in the Marie Manougina Hall of the Cathedral, where a luncheon was served by the CFFA, Sunday school and Children’s Choir committees led by Mrs. Markerid Gazeryan. Santa was welcomed by the children bringing gifts to each and everyone present. DJ Garo contributed to this joy with his festive music. This was truly an unforgettable holiday party for our beloved children.
