The mid-annual Diocesan clergy meeting held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 was hosted by St. Mary Armenian Church of Hamilton. The meeting was presided by His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian, Primate with the participation of clergy and deacons from the provinces of Quebec and Ontario.

The meeting was held in St. Mary’s Church and started with a prayer service, which was immediately followed by a discussion and planning session in preparation for the upcoming year’s programming. The following initiatives were approved

Meetings with the Primate: for the purpose of furthering learning and education for the deacons, acolytes and altar servers, monthly meetings with the Primate will take place, in rotating order throughout the parishes. Planning for these meetings and retreats will include coordination with St. Nersess Armenian Seminary of New York.

Youth Ministry and Christian Education: Deacon Ivan Gyadayan, Director of the Youth Department will be in charge of youth activities and annual retreats, including ACYOC retreats, annual Sports weekend and delegates’ meeting.

Pilgrimage to Jerusalem: in celebration of the Holy Week and the Glorious Holy Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ a pilgrimage is organized from April 9-23, 2012.

CYMA 2012 Mission: Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian will be the CYMA Youth Mission leader for the coming year. During the mission, the Canadian Armenian youth will have the opportunity to meet with several other youth groups from different Dioceses of Diaspora and Armenia.
